Multiple SIMs

Accounts on Starter and above can run more than one SIM. There's no primary/secondary concept — every paired SIM is a fully independent sending and receiving resource.

How a send picks one

Through the API, routing is by the from number you specify — Connecfy resolves it to whichever SIM owns that number. From the dashboard, you choose the SIM directly from a dropdown when composing a message. Either way, the choice is explicit; Connecfy never silently picks a different SIM than the one implied by your request.

Sharing a number across an account

By default a SIM's number can only be used by the account that paired it. An admin can grant another account access to send from a specific number without transferring ownership of the SIM itself — useful for a shared support line multiple team accounts need to send from.

Comparing SIMs

The Statistics page's per-SIM breakdown ranks your top SIMs by volume with sent/failed counts for each, so a struggling phone is easy to spot without cross-referencing the full message list.

Scaling throughput

Since each SIM is polled and claims work independently, splitting volume across more SIMs raises your effective sending rate roughly linearly — see the throughput note in How Connecfy Works. This is the main practical reason to run several SIMs even within a single plan's device limit.
