SIM Cards

A SIM is the resource that actually sends and receives — everything else in Connecfy exists to queue work for one and read results back from it.

What a SIM is, precisely

A physical SIM card connected to exactly one account as a gateway. Once connected it has: a name (a custom alias if you've set one, otherwise whatever was originally reported), a phone number, a live online/offline status, and every message it has ever sent or received.

Connecting one

Dashboard → Devices → Add device — follow the on-screen steps and it's live within a couple of minutes, no further configuration needed.

Naming

Rename any SIM from its device page. The name the phone originally reported is preserved separately even after you rename it, so you can always see what it actually was if you need to.

How many you can connect

Set by your billing plan, enforced at pairing time — not a soft limit you can exceed and get warned about after the fact:

Starter2
Pro4
Power10
ScaleUnlimited

Trying to pair past your limit fails with a clear "upgrade to add more" response rather than a generic error.
